The meeting marked an effort among these corporates to join hands, through the Network, in mobilizing the Thai business sector to recognize the importance of conducting business in both domestic and international markets under the 10 principles of UN Global Compact.
These principles cover four key areas: human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption. Global Compact Network Thailand will also promote multi-stakeholder cooperation across relevant organizations through concrete activities within the United Nations framework. The high-level representatives came from fifteen corporates of different sizes and sectors: Bangchak Petroleum, CPALL, Charoen Pokphand Foods, Charoen Pokphand Group, IRPC, Mitr Phol Group, Pinnacle Hotels and Resorts, Pranda Group, Print City, PTT, PTTEP, PTT Global Chemical, Thai Oil, Thai Union Group, and True Corporation.
